I feel Ugly and Fat & I’m Never Going to Look Like I Did Before! Thoughts from a Frustrated Girl!

Is this you right now? Or do you know someone who is feeling this way. Then pass on this article to them.
My friend said this to me recently and I understand her completely. After all in my friend’s case, it’s not easy-going from a super lean size 4 to a not so lean size 14.
In my case I went from being a size 4 super lean and ripped mom to a size 10 not so lean and tired mom of three. As my friend said above I also felt that after having my 3rd child, I would never look like I did before . With the first two pregnancies I lost all my baby weight and an additional 15 pounds just within the first 4 months after giving birth. It was amazing, but I did work really hard on my physique including a 5 day a week gym workout consisting of two hours everyday of weights, strength training, cardio and toning.
But life changed really fast and I could no longer work out at all!!!! My doctor ordered me to go on bed rest for the last 3 months of my pregnancy and shortly after baby was born I fell at work because the building left soap and water on the floor. That further delayed my exercise since I could barely move enough to shower let alone do cardio and lift weights. I did several months of physical therapy and chiropractic and just recently have I been able to speed walk and do some light weights. Yet in spite of all that happened to me I sometimes felt like I was never going to be that hot chick my husband knew just 2 years ago.
I mean really. Between diaper changes, constant breastfeeding, working fulltime and other children to care for; who in their right mind has the time to work on their abs for 45 minutes 3 times a week and do strength training 4 times a week? This depressed me because I am one of those people who absolutely adores the gym. I don’t need encouragement to go, no workout buddy needed. Just give me the time and a babysitter and I’m there at whatever time.
So like I told my good friend, I had to give it to God and realize that there was a little creature that had the right to demand all of my time, energy, milk and sleep. And he still does at 15 months and I am still working fulltime and I still have not made it into the gym. I will get there soon just not right now. In the meantime I have opted for strolls with the kids, weight training at home (free weights) and have accepted the fact that perfection is not a requirement for loving or receiving love.
My kids and my husband don’t look at me and say “Jeez mom, I would love you a whole lot more if you dropped those last 7 pounds”
Going through this season of fattyness has further reinforced my belief that we don’t control our world or what happens to us, only God does. I can’t wake up and tell a pregnant contracting tummy to stop contracting because I am in control.
I can’t tell a sickness to leave or tell a pimple to go away or stop a freak accident from occurring.
I can, however, chose to continue living my life as a gift and savor the taste of my homemade organic rose petal honey on freshly made bread.
I can set my weekly goals and do my best to meet them, but when I don’t I can rest in the fact that I’m not perfect and proceed to dancing with baby on my hip as a cardio workout substitute.
I can ignore fashion week and say firmy that it bares little to no weight on what I decide to wear or not wear!!!
I can make healthier decisions about how I am eating and not blame myself for packing on a few extra pounds when those pounds were part of “a labor of love”
I can encourage others around me to be healthier and teach them what eating right looks like.
There is so much to be thankful for and little to complain about. After all there is a solution to everything on this earth except for death.
So at the end of the day don’t sink into the thought of feeling ugly and fat if this is the result of an unexpected life change or illness.
Make the best of your day. Like I say to my kids: You can get all dressed up for an event and go out to then get caught in the rain and finally make it into the car soaking wet. Once in your car you can freak out and be in a bad mood or you can get out of your car, and dance in the rain. Either way you’ll still be wet, the only difference is the attitude you choose to have.
Lots of Love LCO

Easy Free Way to Test your Family for Food Intolerances

Wouldn’t it be great to have a little machine you could scan your foods with and it would tell you if they are beneficial for your body.
Well although such scanners do exist they can be a bit costly to own and or to have done at a doctors office.
But you can test intolerances in the comfort of your own home and its a lot of fun to do. In the natural health world this kind of testing is known as muscle testing, energy testing and or kinesiology. When our bodies suffer from food intolerances our bodies electrical system is weakened and this is measured by our muscles response to a specific food. This type of testing can be used to identify allergies, physical weaknesses, sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, and to assess which herbs, supplements or other treatments are indicated as remedies.
I have done this test on almost everyone in our family and some of our friends and it’s incredibly accurate. I have tested my own herbal medicine against ones purchased at a health food store only to find out the one I purchased was actually weakening our bodies where as my stuff rocked!! Yeah, I was jumping up and down at the results. It was quite the Kodak moment.
One day I got into a testing frenzy where I grabbed a bag of deadly ramen noodle soup a friend had left at our home. We all tested and it gave the anticipated results that of course it weakened our muscle response. You can test anything just nothing in tin or metal cans.
The easiest testing I find is done by holding your left hand fingers open, with the palm facing upwards, see picture above.
Connect the left thumb and pinky fingers by putting one nail under the other. A circle should be created by doing this.
If you are acting as the testing practitioner you take a baseline test by putting your 2 index fingers under the pads of the pinky/thumb connection, gently trying to separate them.
The person being tested must keep a tight hold and resist the pull, but it not meant to be a strength assessment so relax.
Once you have your baseline result have the person being tested hold the food in question in the other hand as you test again as mentioned above.
The awesome part about this is that the connection will be strengthened or weakened. If the fingers easily resist your pull then it means that the food being tested strengthens the body’s electrical field, if the fingers do not resist the pull then the food should be eliminated immediately from the diet as it is weakening the body. I know it’s so cool and it’s always given me a correct reading even baked up by medical testing.

Health News: New Report by Medical Professionals says – Vaccines Pose a Significant Risk of Harm to the Health of Children
01 Feb 2011 Leave a Comment
in Allergies and Asthma, Baby & Child Health, Flu & Cold, Health conspiracy theories, Health News, Nursing Super Mommy, Preggo Mama, Vaccinations Tags: autism, Autism is associated with vaccines, Child Health, Vaccination, Vaccines: Get the Full Story
If you are a parent this article and vaccine report is a must read.
To hear it from proponents of the vaccine industry, vaccines are based on rock-solid science that proves them to be completely safe and widely effective. These beliefs, however, are not factually based on real science but rather a persistent vaccine mythology that has been propagandized by the vaccine industry, medical practitioners and even governments which underwrite vaccine risks.
Today, the International Medical Council on Vaccination (www.VaccinationCouncil.org) has released, exclusively through NaturalNews.com, a groundbreaking document containing the signatures of over 80 family physicians, brain surgeons and professors of pathology, chemistry and immunity, all of which have signed on to a document stating, on the record, that vaccines pose a significant risk of harm to the health of children and that there is no real science backing the “vaccine mythology” which claims that vaccines are somehow good for children.
Many doctors, in fact, who used to be strong vaccine proponents are now some of the most outspoken experts warning about the dangers of vaccines. They are now raising critical questions about the lack of legitimate scientific testing of vaccines, and they are realizing that the vaccine industry is engaged in a massive smoke-and-mirrors ploy to sell dangerous medicine that poses serious, lifelong risks to both children and adults.
But wait before you click to read the rest of the above article read a snippet below from the “Vaccines Get the Full Story Report” recently published:
“If U.S. children receive all doses of all vaccines, they are injected with up to 35 shots that contain 113 different kinds of disease particles, 59 different chemicals, four types of animal cells/DNA, human DNA from aborted fetal tissue and human albumin.
If you think you don’t have to worry about vaccines because your children are older, think again. There are at least 20 more vaccines currently in the development pipeline for release in the next few years, mostly targeting adolescents and adults.
Is there any research that shows the difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated children? The Cal‐Oregon project sponsored by Generation Rescue surveyed parents of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated U.S. children. Of the 17,674 children included in the survey, the results showed:
Vaccinated children had 120% more asthma.
Vaccinated boys had 317% more ADHD.
Vaccinated boys had 185% more neurologic disorders.
Vaccinated boys had 146% more autism.
Girls represented only 20% of the total number of children in the survey.”
